The Zionsville Optimist Club (ZOC) is a volunteer, not-for-profit, community service organization that is committed to serving the needs of youth.



We are a part of Optimist International, which is made up of more than 2600 service clubs in the United States and several other nations. The Zionsville club, comprised of community business professionals, retirees, and area service workers has benefitted the community in a variety of ways since its founding in 1981. The Optimist Motto is Friend of Youth, and club members benefit the young men and women of our community through service in a variety of ways. We all try to live by the tenets of the Optimist Creed, a statement of principles by which Optimists try to live their lives. If these represent the values that you hold, please join us in making our community better. Annual scholarships to graduating ZCHS seniors

Contributing sponsor for After Prom Event

Sponsor youth soccer, baseball, softball teams

Conduct annual ZOC Oratorical Contest at ZCHS

Conduct annual Tri-Star basketball competition

Fund purchase of Christmas gifts for needy children/families

Sponsor Future Problem Solvers at ZCS

Cash donations for various Zionsville community and youth organizations including Boys & Girls Club and The Lincoln Park Series

Sponsor ZCHS golfers in State Optimist Club Golf Tournament

Provide textbook purchase support for Zionsville students

Address special youth programs upon request
